Tour2 -
Our neighborhood - Agios Eleftherios
49th Highschool of Athens
We took our camera and we went for a walk in the streets of our neighborhood!!!

This is one of the largest streets in our neighborhood. It’s called Acharnon Street | This is another large
street that is called Patission Avenue. It is longer than Acharnon Street,
it reaches the centre of Athens and many cars travel along it every day. |
This is also a large
street that connects Patission and Acharnon streets. |

In these two pictures you can see some of the narrow streets that are in our neighborhood. Only one car can pass from there because people park their cars in the street |
This is a pedestrian area. Cars aren’t allowed to pass from there or park, but as you can easily see drivers don’t care a lot about that!!! |
These are blocks of flats that have been recently built. In Greece all blocks of flats have balconies. |
Here we can compare the two different types of balconies. The first picture shows an old block of flats with small and simple balconies but in the second one we can see big modern balconies |
When we took this photo, the first thing that we thought was how different and beautiful Athens used to be! This is an old house that dates back to the 30s and now it looks forlorn and is in need of repair, although people still live in it. |
